Football and Tennis Thursday night - need to watch both and have a GREAT meal - Suggestions?

Have a friend coming in from out of town who's a big sports fan. And she (note that) loves great food.

Suggestions for where to go? Not Brother Jimmy's!

    Ainsworth on West 26th Street. Upscale sports bar, great TV's, surprisingly good food.

        Did you end up going? What was it like? Looking for a place to bring my dad to watch football (actually Pats game, second complication) this Sunday.

            I've never been to the Riviera, but I have been to Professor Thoms (as a Michigan and Pats fan) but they do not take reservations on Sundays. I would like to know we'll be able to get a seat without having to show up in time for the early games as we have a 12:00 pm fried chicken lunch reservation.
