Recommendation for limo ride meal Montreal

Some friends and I bought a voucher for a limo ride at a charity auction for the second year in a row. The voucher is for a ride to and from a restaurant on island. The question is: where should we go?

Last year, we got dressed up and went to a BYOW in Hudson (it was considered on island enough), got plastered (6 bottles of wine for 4 of us) and ate well. We would like to do something similar.

With that in mind, this is the description of my ideal restaurant:
- On island but far enough from downtown to make the limo worth it . . .
- BYOW
- Nice without being pretentious. We likely will bring a box of wine just for the fun of it and would like to be somewhere that will go along with our insanity.
- Some place that we can dress up without looking like complete fools (in other words, Smokemeat Pete's is out . . . I'm also a vegetarian)
- Price is not a huge concern - this is a yearly treat - but under $50 per person for appetizer, main course and dessert would be ideal.

Any ideas????

Thanks in advance!

      Thanks, Snowpea.

I noticed that in a thread about a staycation in 2009, you mention Bistro 1843 on Ile Bizard. You said that you had yet to go, but intended to get back there. In the end, did you ever go? Was it any good? It looks like it would fit into what I'm looking for quite nicely . . .

I never did go, sorry! :o)

However, I now task you with the mission to go and give us a review, Captain! (love your handle)
