Soy Restaurant in Oakland?

There seems to be a new place under construction in the shopping center at the top of Redwood Road, near Sparky's burgers. The sign says Soy. Couldn't find anything in a Google search--anyone have the scoop?

That strip mall is the nearest business location to my home, but it is a wasteland, food-wise. I'm wishin' and hopin' something good will open there.

Nope. There's been plastic covering the windows the whole time, but I haven't seen any signs of work, workmen, work trucks, or any progress in many moons. It seems it might be someone's wishful plan gone, you know, dead.

        Lincoln Square a "Food-wise wasteland"

There is the original Sparky's Burgers and Red Boy Pizza...things could be a lot worse.

Thanks, oh well. I was supposed to meet a friend at Sparky's and wondered if there were any alternatives in the area.

The best alternatives in the area are on Park Blvd..--Marzano or Bellanica.

Had a tasty cocktail, but haven't dined there as yet. Friendly and helpful barkeep.

Thanks all, the meet was called off for now. I'm sure the info will be helpful in the future.

Also the great Vientian Cafe is only 6 minutes away by car.
