Early Mexican breakfast to precede golden gate park visit?
I'm headed out to the park with my 3.5yr old and her 18mo old brother. They're typically ready for breakfast by 7. I'm in from NYC and found Red Cafe as a recc. But they don't open till 9am. Thank you!
Where are you staying, and do you have a car?

Chava's on Mission and 24th/25th and San Jalisco on Folsom both serve breakfast pretty early. We have been to both with our 3 year old. Both have great soups and egg entrees. BTW, San Jalisco used to be called Los Jarritos, so you can also find stuff about them under that name. Same people, different name. Neither of these places are on the way from Fisherman's Wharf to GG Park, but I can't really think of any place that would be on the way. Regardless, not really all that far to drive for delicious Mexican breakfast.

Pork Store Cafe is not Mexican, but it does offer a decent heuvos rancheros along with some chorizo based plates. And it is en route to GGP. So it might be close enough for your purposes.

+1 for anything at the Pork Store. Opens early, I am sure, and close to the park, and...
Website has hours: www.porkstorecafe.com
Opens at 7 on weekdays.

Not to derail your schedule, but Nopalito is near the park and has food truly worth waiting for...they don't open until 11:30, so that would be lunch instead of breakfast.
