Plant - Fantastic Food and Cruelty Free! (Asheville)

Ciao Hounds - Last night my wife and I ate at Plant - The new Vegan restaurant on Charlotte Street in Asheville. It was spectacular - Great service, presentation and most importantly, the food is so fresh, so delicious and so obviously made with love. Highly recommended.

Actually it is on Mwrrimon across from the old Deal Motors location.

I can't wait to try it. Drove by on late Monday afternoon on my way to Noi Thai Kitchen for take-out. The new sign caught my eye "PLANT, a restaurant with roots." While I was waiting I happened to pick up a local weekly and read the article about Plant. The owner is a former chef from Laughing Seed. It has only been open two weeks and seems to have had a soft opening with little advertising on purpose. At the very top of my 'must try' list! Vegan friendly Asheville just kicked it up a notch! YES!

i really want to try it, but the sheer fact that i've heard so little about it is strange to me, i just can't shake that feeling.

what did you get? did you feel the prices matched the quality?

We felt that the prices did match the quality - to be sure - however, if it were a bit more on the affordable side we'd go MUCH more often and they'd actually make more $$ on volume. Was it worth it? Yes, emphatically yes!
