Anyone know of a good source for bacalao in the Triangle? We've found it at Grand Asia but they don't have it consistently. We can order it online via La Tienda but it's a little pricy.
International Foods (used to be Compare Foods) in Raleigh has it.
Compare Foods in Durham.
If you ask at the WFs in Chapel Hill (which you can do by phone) you should be able to get it there. And I've seen it occasionally at Southern Season. Either way, a phone call first could save you time.
I have seen it recently at Harris Teeter near the smoked salmon section. I go to the HT at 54 and 751 in Durham.

Thanks, everyone! For some reason, it never occurred to me just to look at those places...just assumed I'd have to get to A Southern Season (not that that's a bad thing!).
Can you let us know where you end up finding it please?
I've seen it at the HT on 86 in CH.
I am pretty sure Whole Foods on Wade Avenue stocks it in their freezer section. Not sure about the other locations.
