Wedding at Blue Hill?

So I am looking to possibly book a wedding at Blue Hill Stone Barns but have reservations. It is almost $250pp, with a site fee of $2500. With tax and tip, if you fill the room up, it's $365pp. They raise the price about $10 per year, and the site fee has gone up $1k within 2-3 years. As a result, I'm rethinking this venue. Does anyone have opinions about this place???

food is as "slow food" as could be: local, organic, etc. Some like me find the food here boring but others find it tops in it's class. place is gorgeous. bar program and teas are exceptional. and like all good things it tends to be costly!

any other cool rustic sites will be less self suffiecient meaning bringing in caterer, tents, chairs, china, etc...but may be worth checking out:
look in bedford, greenwich, rye, wilton...
