We will be in Napa for one dinner. I loved mustards but wanted to try something new. We are staying in Santa Rosa after we visit a couple wineries so anythng near Napa or on the way to Santa Rosa would be great. Thank you!

If you want something in Santa Rosa, Willi's is good. http://www.starkrestaurants.com/willis_winebar.html

Or at the southern end of Napa Valley, Don Giovanni's.

Mustards chef Cindy Pawlcyn also has Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen.

Cindy's Backstreet is an entirely different style and different menu than Mustards. Same chef, yes - but a whole different ballgame.

Big grilled meats with sticky-sweet sauces and unbalanced accompaniments. In Rutherford, you would probably like Rutherford Grill which is quite similar or, more low-key and better quality, is Bounty Hunter in downtown Napa. BarbersQ also has decent ribs but is more BBQ-oriented and also low-key.

Sorry I can't make recommendations in Santa Rosa; I don't dine over there often enough.
