Tres Vite, Detroit, MI

Hello!

I am attending a lunch meeting at Tres Vite in Detroit next week and cannot locate an online menu for the restaurant. There doesn't seem to be a CH review either.

Has anybody been there? If so, any suggestions?

I realize I could live a little and go in without a clue but that seems to always bite me in the a@#!

    Wasn't that space taken over by Da Edoardo? I really don't think Tres Vite has existed for years.

      Uh Oh...someone else planned the meeting..thanks for the info, I better make sure it is still around. I wouldn't doubt it is closed simply because there seems to be no info at all on the place.

      Wow, I remember going there years ago for dinner before a musical. Then the location was turned in to daEduardo's Foxtown Grille. They also have locations in Grosse Pointe and Grand Blanc. Not sure if this helps or not. Possibly you're eating there.

        Apparently; inside the Fox Theater complex.

        The only thing I can find is their 1990 press release re: opening. Given that it's an Ilitch/Schmidt
        operation that targets those headed to the Fox Theater.

        Something truly odd about a restaurant that has been around for 20 years; without reviews, or
        even a web presence. Nothing on G, Y, U, MT. I did find a mention (not review) at nyt.com:

        Give them a call. Perhaps they'll email or fax a menu.

          I was thinking the same thing..how can a restaurant that has been around for awhile fly so far under the radar. It makes me a little leary..oh well...it's being expensed out. If it really stinks Slows to Go is just around the corner!!!

                I cannot find a phone nbr. I am guessing that the entree will be dumplings in a peppermint-dill sauce, Garnished with scotch bonnets. Enjoy!
