A great BLT sandwich
Where do you go for a great BLT in central/northern CT? Flavorful bread, bacon cooked just right, a tomato that let's you know it's a tomato, and anything but iceberg lettuce. We're in the middle of the ripe tomato season and when the combination is right, you know it. Who'll lead me to it? Thanks a lot.

Summer of '09, I proclaimed a BLT at the Pond House to be probably the best one of my life:
Applewood smoked bacon, brie, sundried tomato aioli, romaine, toasted country bread, served with a jicama slaw.
Two years later, I'll remove "probably" and let it stand as THE BEST. I immediately thought of it when I read your question! And you couldn't eat a BLT in a prettier place, that's for sure.
