Brunch near Agganis Arena
We have a party of 8 going to the Cirque du Soleil at the Agganis next month. It is a 5pm show on a Sunday, and we are looking to eat nearby beforehand, I am thinking around 2:30pm. It seems that we'll be largely stuck with brunch menus but bc it is later in the afternoon I want to make sure there are sandwich/entree options for those of us who probably ate eggs and such about 5 hours earlier! I was originally thinking of ICOB but the menu seems a bit limited. Any other ideas?

If you are willing to walk towards Coolidge Corner Zaftigs has an amazing brunch although often completely packed. A less busy option would be Deep Ellum, further down Brighton Ave. The brunch has a definite Southern hint to it and is very reasonably priced. The cocktails are also pretty amazing.

there are a lot of non-brunch options right nearby (within a few blocks), and if you go down to kenmore or over to coolidge corner, you'll have no trouble finding something that appeals to the group!
Sunset Cantina is right across the street. It has a very extensive menu - southwestern/Mexican style would be how I describe it, but it has a lot of choices for those who might be picky. It suits large groups well, and isn't too expensive. if you like thai, Brown Sugar is amazing, and only a block west of agganis.
if your group prefers, there is also a panera and upper crust right there too.
