Cupcakes at Target Field

At the Twins game tonight and my beloved bakery stand by section 119 is gone. GONE. So they aren't necessarily the absolute best cupcakes ever they were one of my sweet treats at the ballpark. So sad. They were here earlier this year. Anyone know what happened to them?

Just figured I would bump this for the OP, I was at the park last night, and I spied a couple of these bakery/espresso spots (including @ 119), and there were cupcakes, individually packaged in little plastic containers. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so I didn't try one, but they appear to have a healthy (or would that be unhealthy?) ;) amount of frosting.

On an unrelated note: Surlys Bandwagon is fantastic, I *might* even like it better than Furious, which is crazy talk for me. I'm hoping that later in the season they might have both available so I can do it up pepsi challenge style :)

There needs to be more than one surly stand though... I mean, shouldn't that have been obvious, especially when the price is exactly the same for a Surly as it is for a Grain Belt?

I've been trying to think of different ways to test whether this list is complete, and it appears to be as far as I can tell, but there are no bakery items (other than cookies) anywhere and not at section 119, in particular. Espresso is still listed at 119, though, so maybe it is still supposed to be there and was just in for maintenance or something. Was it there earlier in the season? It's strange for them to change-up concessions mid-season. I do know the the bakery items were produced by Target Field's in house kitchen (rather than by someone they'd need to have a contract with like Kramarczuk's), so maybe they just decided to stop doing it. Not making money, too much hassle, etc. http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/min/ballpark/taste_of_twins_territory/concessions_locations.jsp

It says there are cookies at section 118. Maybe that will have to be your treat from now on? I know how it is to have a craving for a little something sweet.

On the other hand, I hadn't noticed El Burrito Mercado joined the line-up this year with "Walk A Taco." http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20110322&content_id=17058094&vkey=pr_min&fext=.jsp&c_id=min Sounds a little gimmicky, but I guess they are trying to give you something easy to eat in a stadium setting. Can anyone vouch for it? I wish they'd just do real food, the way La Loma does at TCF Bank Stadium. Burritos or tamales would be easy to make in advance and sell (and eat), for instance.

I've been trying to figure out who you could call or email to ask. in the guide it says to ask about concessions at the Guest Service Centers. So you could always ask them. I wish they had an email address for DNC-Sportservice so you could contact them outside of game hours.

EDIT: I'd write them at the email address listed nearish to the bottom here: http://www.delawarenorth.com/FAQ.aspx

They were definitely there mid-July. Don't recall if they were there in early August (opted for gelato that time instead of cupcakes... wish I'd gotten the cupcake). And now there is a sno-cone portable where my cupcakes used to be. I might e-mail them although unless we're in the Kiss Off contest, I don't know that there will be another Twins game in our future this season anyway. I've gone to 5 now and they've lost every one.

Heh, I've been to one this season (which is rare for me: usually I will have gone to several by now), and the Twins won. But I wasn't on Kiss-Cam.

If I were you, I'd email them anyway because you never if it's the type of thing they've discontinued because they think no one cares. If nothing else, you're letting them know you care. Plus, we all want to know what happened to them now that you've posted about it.

While you're at it, you can request other Chowish food you'd like to see at the ball park. :).

Apparently they don't care as much as they'd like to make it seem. Their e-mail address is invalid. Jerkaloes.

              Well, that's a total disappointment.

I'm out of ideas, I guess, unless you are REALLY desperate for cupcakes.

I just was able to email them. Maybe a problem with your connection. Will report back if they answer.

I sat in the Club level recently, and they had a dessert cart that had a variety of stuff made by the house pastry chef. The cupcakes were among them.

So, at the very least, the cupcakes are still available in the club level.

Was also at the game tonight- in the Legend's Club area. In the later innings, so a desserts cart with torts, pies, cheesecakes, cupcakes. Not sure if this is what you speak of, but this was in the legend's Club tonight.. Think I've seen a similar setup on other nights, but my memory escapes me.

I was also on the kiss cam with my hubby tonight, but that's unrelated. LOL. The dessert cart isn't what I was talking about. They had a separate bakery/espresso stand that had cupcakes maybe some other baked goods too. I don't recall. But it was a stand alone cart thing like the nachos or barbecue or gelato, etc.
