Breakfast/Lunch - West Hollywood
Hello,
I'll be staying at the Renaissance Hotel in W. Hollywood (1755 North Highland Ave). Where are some good places for breakfast and lunch? Maybe places where there may be some celebrity sightings?
Thanks

You are actually in Hollywood, not WeHo...big difference, especially for daytime celeb sightings. You could try 25 Degrees at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel for lunch. Or forage at the Sunday farmers market at Sunset and Vine. otherwise, wait for nightfall and cruise Sunset. Chateau Marmont is always a good bet.

I haven't been there myself, but you might try walking down Highland to Ammo. My favorite breakfast spot is about 2 miles from you: Cafe Verona at 201 S. La Brea. They serve breakfast, lunch & dinner, but breakfast & lunch are their specialities IMO. (www.cafeveronala.com)

Ammo is a great spot for lunch. I've seen celebs there....but don't think you can count on it. Actually, that neighborhood is a bit tough for daytime celeb sightings, I would think. You're not far from the Loteria Grill...which is good, solid Mexican. Very good margaritas.(obviously i've moved on to lunch....not breakfast.) I haven't been to Boho since they moved to their new location (very close to your hotel, I believe) but the restaurant in the former place was really good.

re: kevin
All of the salads I've had were great if a tad petite and pricey, their egg dishes were more than competently prepared, and their burgers/patty melts/fries always look good though I have not yet tried them yet. I would skip the "beignets" or whatever they call them weekly, the one time I had them, they were like badly made dense, cake donut holes.
