New Riverhead Gourmet deli

Off Main Market and Kitchen just opened where the bakery was on Osborne Ave next to the RR trax.
So far it's been excellent. I've been getting my morning bacon egg and cheese sammich with coffee and it's been perfect. Tasty bread, generour serving of bacon and a good value too.
Their lunch offerings are delicious and a little upscale from a run of the mill deli. High quality bread and fillings for the sammiches.
Their daily lunch specials are a bargain: Grilled pannini style turkey & cheese with a large drink and a generous order of the best onion rings I have had in ages for only $4.95
Delicious meaty lobster salad only $9.99 a pound.
Local produce and gourmet market items make it an interesting place to shop.
It's a nice family run operation. I hope they can draw clients to their "off Main" location.

They lasted a bit over a year. It's a tough business in a town where the politicians can't get their act together.

So sad, they are already gone. Such nice people and a wonderful market to boot. Also hear that Atomic Wings and Burgers in Mattituck is also on the DNR list. So weird for restaurants to give up the ship in the middle of the summer!
