Where can I buy Pure Maple Extract & other extracts in Toronto? (GTA area)
Has anyone tried Cook's brand? (cooksvanilla.com)
Thinking of ordering from there, but there must be something comparable in Toronto. Suggestions?

  1. I wish I could help you, and I am ALWAYS on the lookout for good flavour extracts - I may order some from Cooks Vanilla myself. A few years ago I bought a good collection of extracts from Super Target in the US (they looked at me strangely at the airport when they pulled 10 or so bottles of extracts out of my carry on). I used up all of the Maple and the Raspberry in my homemade yogurt, and have not since found another Raspberry anywhere locally. And I have not seen the Raspberry at Super Target since, so I suspect they don't make it anymore. In and around Toronto I only see the usual suspect flavours, even in Williams Sonoma, Mcewans, Pusateris etc.

    1. I used Boyajian with good results and you can sometimes see it in HomeSense.

Whole Foods carries Frontier Natural Flavours (http://www.frontiercoop.com) in maple on a regular basis.

My current favourite is an essence made in France that is bottled at a cookware store in Virginia. It's very thick and more concentrate than most extracts. (http://lacuisineus.com)

      1. Johnvince and it is BS free.
If you want nuts etc taste first . Last time almost everything was stale. Wasted calories.
