Dried chiles in bulk?

Where can I find dried chiles? The only store I've found so far with a decent selection is the spice store over in the Lonsdale Quay market, but the bags are small and not so cheap. The selection is good though: Ancho, Guajillo, Pasilla, Habanero, Chipotle, New Mexico, California, Arbol and more, all dried whole.

Where can I find this kind of selection but cheaper and in bigger bags than 50 grams each? Does this place exist?

As a backup, where do you dried chile fans order your stuff online?

  1. Try El Surreno (Commercial) and Los Guerreros (Kingsway/Joyce). Killarney Marmet (E 49th) might have it too.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. Stopping by at El Surreno asap.

    2. Dollar groceries at commercial and 6th also has about half of those chiles in bulk bins near the deli counter. I think the price is around $13/kg.

        1. I don't know why I didn't ask here before. Went to both El Sureno and Dollar Groceries on Commercial yesterday, and both are amazing. I think Dollar Groceries is my new favorite grocery store. Just cut my dried chile costs by 75%.
