Went last night, have not been there in a while. The rosemary bread with oil was great. Tomatoes and mozzerella fabulous, great tomatoes, wonderful cheese, and a very nice balsamic dressing. The salmon was amazing clean tasting and cooked perfectly. Pie was good, son's burger was great, fries a little mushy. Had a $5 glass of wine! Very good also! The salmon was 28 on the prix fix! Incredible value for the quality!

The only Fairway cafe I know is on the UWS 74th st. The Pelham location has plenty of room to build one, hopefully they will.

There's an informal cafe in the Plainview, LI store, too. Have never seen it as a dinner spot, though.

Fairway in Pelham has a cafe as does Stamford but it's certainly not anywhere I'd consider for even a casual sit down for dinner with a glass of wine. Quick lunch or on the fly dinner when shopping only I would say. Not a dinner destination. I googled and the only results that come up are for the various cafes in the Fairway markets but I have to think the OP must be talking about somewhere else.

Maybe they will pop back in and let us know.

As Big S said, OP is almost certainly talking about Fairway's original location on the UWS. The post should have been on the Manhattan board.

Guess so . I wrote without realizing the UWS store had an actual restaurant type of set up - only been in a couple of times - lived downtown so didn't get there much. Assumed it was like the other "cafes".

Every word in rkaene's post told me that this was no by the pound salad/hot bar with plastic clamshell self serve containers. Especially the $28 prix fix salmon!

So sorry, I thought I explained, I was on the wrong board, it is the UWS location. BTW, the chopped salad at Pelham is my favorite lunch in Westchester. They have different ingredient choices all of the time.
