Thu Mar 30 15:14:23 -0800 2006 444223 0 the word girl 2 444871 hey, all. thx much for the advice. so, i checked out both the upstairs and down when we got there (9:30PMish), and i liked the down better as it had a little bit more of a chill/quiet atmosphere - maybe since our reservations were on the later side. so we took that, and everything was great. best steak (28 oz prime rib) i think i've ever had (and steak/chop houses are my fav genre), colossal shrimp cocktail was ridiculously good (firm and tasty, cocktail sauce nice n spicy, cool bit of drama when they arrive in the steamy dry ice), wine was great (lots of choices, they pur a fantastic 9 oz. pere glass), service was fantastic. about $180 with tip for the two of us, yet i feel it was worth every penny. mastro's rules. great night, great meal.
