There's plenty of archives here to look at! Joe's is open, but stone crab season is closed. They still have great seafood there and I love the shrimp / lobster cocktail. The dill shrimp salad is to die for!

I'm big on Casa Tua and Sardinia - - - both top tier establishments. I'd skip Prime 112....a lot to do over nothing. Michael's Genuine is worth the cab fare as is Graziano's in Coral Gables (argentenian steak).

Hit those archives and pay close attention to what 'tpigeon' and 'frodnesor' have to say.

You've got a pretty good list, a few notes ->

Naoe is excellent, but is nowhere near South Beach - it's about a 20-30 minute cab ride north.

The chef at Casa Tua left fo Cecconi's in Soho House.

I'd add BLT Steak in the Betsy Hotel to your steakhouse list.

Most notable omission is Pubbelly, which is an Asian / Spanish / gastropub - which sounds like a car crash, but works. I like it quite a bit, though it's something of a love it or hate it place.

Blue Door Fish is more a seafood place than an Asian or sushi place. They recently brought in Sean Bernal as chef, who used to do good things at Oceanaire.

I don't think Pied a Terre is particularly gastropubby, more higher-end French influenced. The chef recently left and their replacement plan is a bit odd - they've said they are going to have a rotating head chef every 3 months. Which might be really interesting if they were going to let each chef bring in a new menu, like a pop-up, but it's less clear that's what they envision.

Yes, Michael's Genuine is worth a taxi ride.

I agree with what frod said above.

Things you might want to add to your list

        Asian/pan asian

        Chowdown grill recently opened.

Gastropub (I don't think anything on your list is a gastropub btw)

        Clarkes

        Burger & Beer

        Lunch/hole in the wall

        Shake Shack

        Keeses

        Bernies La Cafe

        Cha Cha Cha

        Alibi (late night cheese steaks)

        La Sandwicherie

Not a huge fan of big pink (breakfast is better there than other meals)

            Italian

Scarpetta (failing that because you have been already, sardinia)

            Your asian fusion list

Hakkasan - even though it is not asian fusion

You could also do Pubbelly on wednesday or thursday and maybe tuesday (if they are open tuesday) which is actually an asian fusion place. Or you can try the newly opened chowdown grill in south beach.

            Steakhouse

If I had to choose from the above, prime 112, but I would not eat steak there.

I would rather try Burbon Steak over all of them, or closer to you BLT steak, if I was going to eat steak.

            Seafood

            Naoe
