Lower Cape Amazing Dinner Rec Please

Every Sept. when I return from Bonaire I take Mom and my DD to a special place for dinner. Last year Bramble Inn and the year before 28 Atlantic.

I am toying with the idea to go to Blackfish or PB Boulangerie. Another idea in a slightly different league would be Delmar. Lastly I liked did not love Wicked Oyster but Mom might like it.

Any other suggestions Lower Cape on a Monday night please and thanks!

  1. +1 for Blackfish for really special, although I have also always been happy at Wicked Oyster, and prefer their more casual ambience. Mac's Shack is always good, as is Pearl.

    1. I'd skip PB for meals. I like Blackfish and Mac's Shack .

I love Mac's Shack and Pearl but Mom is 88 years young and I am not sure she'd appreciate Macs. My kiddo just did Pearl and I went twice in June. We have never had dinner at Blackfish. I liked Wicked Oyster..was not wowed by it..I guess the ambiance was a bummer and the fish I had was a tiny Weight Watchers size portion..stopped at Cumbies on the way home for a candy bar...LOVE their bread...

Did you eat on the porch st The Wicked Oyster? It's where my 70ish cousin prefers to sit and The WO is one of her favorites over the 40 odd years she has summered in Truro.

        2. What about Chillingsworth? A la carte from the bistro?

          1. I went to ABBA in Orleans last week and it was terrific. Great atmosphere, excellent food. The lamb was out of this world.

Truffle, I know she'd love to try C'Worth but I am leery..the reviews are not so great in various forums. Did you go this summer and what did you love? Foodwall, Jillian from this board went to Abba and loved ...great idea...

You won't be disappointed with ABBA, but if you want your socks knocked off, try Ocean House in Dennisport. That was my favorite of the cape. It's right on the ocean and it has excellent food. It is the definition of a culinary oxymoron!

we love OH but go there too often..want to explore Lower Cape..thank all..will consider Abba

            2. This summer I took a lady of the same age as your Mom to Abba and to Nauset Beach Club, and both places were a huge hit with her. Abba had an exceptional dessert menu that week, none of them the least bit heavy or overbearing, and the Beach Club's catch of the day was outstanding. Both were pleasant surroundings with attentive and friendly service. We wanted to try Blackfish, but ran out of time, and she preferred going out a little closer to home.

              1. What about Red Inn in P-town? Or Crowne Pointe Bistro?
