Authentic Hard Cider from Normandy Found!

A while ago there was a discussion about where to find authentic hard cider from my home region, Normandy. I think Das Ubergeek (was it you?) felt as deprived as I was by the lack of it in LA.
The quest has now ended at K&L Wine store on Vine.
My friend brought me a bottle of cidre brut bouché by Etienne Dupont. It's organic, yay!
Made in Victot-Ponfol in the Pays d'Auge, this is the real deal, just fermented apple juice, no sugar added, no yeast added.
Friend said it cost about $10/bottle. It taste jolly good and just like home. I say, hard cider lovers, rejoice and enjoy with some great cheese, good bread and a healthy appetite.

    1. I've bought this at the Whole Foods at Lincoln and Rose. But I wouldn't count on them still carrying it, because they didn't have the barcode in their system; the clerk had to go look up the price.

      1. Thanks bad nono! I used to get Normandy cider when I was living in the UK (from Sainsburys, of all places). I've really missed it here. Now if I could just find some good Frankfurter √Ąppelwoi . . .

        1. The Beverage Warehouse (off McConnell in Marina del Rey) usually carries Normandy cider (in fact, we had some tonight). They used to carry La Village, but now seem to carry only Duche de Longueville.

vendome in toluca lake has two or three normandy ciders, as of a week or so ago.

          2. Dupont also makes a non bio/organic that is just as great but usually a buck or two cheaper. The Basque ciders from Spain are great as well but are a whole 'nother flavor profile...
