Couscous Royale

Years ago a restaurant on 1st and 76th St. had a fabulus couscous royale - with merguez sausage,
chicken, maybe other lamb - many veggies and as much harissa as you wanted to mix with the broth.
I'm craving it. Any ideas where I might find a similar dish?

Barbes, a French-Moroccan restaurant on East 36th Street (5th and Madison) has excellent Couscous Royale.

I've had the Couscous Royale at Bistro Lamazou, and it is excellent. In fact, we've been to Bistro Lamazou twice -- for lunch and dinner -- and all the food we had both times was delicious. Service is friendly, and the space has very attractive decor. Highly recommended.

Liked the meal but the decor was odd. Did not match the menu or vibe. Seemed to loungey and hip for that place.

Bistro Lamazou has couscous royale in their menu. I have had the chicken couscous there and it was good.
