I'd try calling Patel Bros on Devon - if I'm not mistaken, they sell them when they come in. Rumor is that this year, the fruits are not as great as in years past.

$80-100 for a box sounds absolutely insane to me!
From this article:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111903480904576512921052614918.html?mod=googlenews_wsjHere's a clue:
"Jaidev Sharma, president of the Chicago-based ZZ Group, the country's largest importer of Indian mangoes, said he had 200 orders for the Pakistani mangoes but could fulfill only two-thirds of that."So I suppose wherever ZZ Group distributes to?
And another article:
http://articles.chicagotribune.com/20..."Swetal Patel is the vice president of Raja Foods in Skokie and was the original importer of Alphonsos, whose season has just ended and can cost about $3 a piece.
The Indian executive says he will probably carry the chaunsas at his family’s stores for his Pakistani customers but not because he can make a lot of money."

re: kathryn
Wow kathryn - thank you for all of the links and info.
My friends from India have told me about these mangos for many years, and as a mango lover I have been very eager to try one. They are supposed to be so wonderful.
I was not planning to buy a case (!), but I thought some place might be selling them one at a time. That I would do!
If anyone tries one, let us know.
