i noticed that this high-end catering hall was razed and bulldozed! i was married a few blocks away at the Short Hills Caterers, which is also closed. what is going on ?

My high school senior prom was at the Chanticler many years ago. No, I'm not going to tell how many years ago :)

It seems that a traditional, glitzy wedding will soon be a thing of the past. I've read that fewer people get married and those who do get married at an older age. I always thought that traditional weddings were a colossal waste of money and the young couple could better deploy the money spent on the wedding for a down payment on a house. Wait...that housing thing isn't working out too well, either.

drove by yesterday for the first time in a long time. looks like they are leveling it out to put some new buildings in. end of an era. i didn't notice short hills caterers was gone. i was there for an engagement party that was better than the wedding.

The Short Hill Caterers building is still standing, but it has been closed for years. i guess traditional weddings and bar mitzvahs are less prevalent.
