Pompano Beach FL restaurant suggestions

First visit to Pompano Beach. Looking for a good restaurant for dinner tonight. So far, Gianni and Brooks have been suggested.

We are staying on North Ocean Boulevard and will have to take a cab. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Second the Cafe Maxx reco. It's right on Atlantic Blvd about 3/4 mile East of Ocean Boulevard - near the big Publix shopping center. For a little more casual, Calypso Restaurant would be another excellent option.

Chowfather and CFByrne: we did go to Cafe Maxx and thank you for the suggestion. The foie gras was superb and so was the Caesar Salad. I had the duck and smoked mozarella ravioli. I found it incredibly greasy...did not care for it at all. Husband thoroughly enjoyed his three peppercorn filet. Lovely spot and we enjoyed the evening.

We went last night, and it was great. The highlight was the octopus tartare app - delicious. We also had duck and tuna entrees, also very good. We will be going back for sure.
