Where to take an 18yo girl from out of town

My niece visits once a year and im short on ideas. Shes done the sushi samba and pastis thing, I'm thinking more LES or Evill. Less sex in the city. Food type not important, no budget ... Just atmsphere and scene.

Most of the above suggestions are good - Public, Stanton Social, Pulino's (though Pulino's strikes me as more touristy than sceney)

Also: Beauty & Essex, WD-50, Balthazar (also touristy, but also NYC-sceney), Momofuku Ssam Bar (or Noodle Bar)

Venturing further West... Morimoto could be fun (skip the sushi though, stick to the composed dishes), Babbo if you can get an elusive reservation.

Asia de Cuba is more of a "midtown" scene, I wouldn't take an 18-year-old there. Beter to stick to below 14th St, IMHO.
