Freshii- Financial District
Has anyone been? Thinking of trying it out today:
Went today with some colleagues bent on healthy food, and thought it was a good option for those seeking such things. I had a salad with salmon, orange segments, spinach, mushrooms, roasted peppers, cucumbers, and dill sauce. One of my DCs got spicy noodles with edamame, which he claimed were amazingly delicious. Might try that next time. The portions, at least for salad, are massive, and the folks behind the counter seem a bit frazzled, though they had a pretty good-sized crowd in there. One odd aspect was the pita bread, which was really closer in specs to a thick burrito wrapper. It was kind of tough, and may have had cinnamon or honey in it.
"Went today with some colleagues bent on healthy food" Darn healthy colleagues! *shakes fist*
Had the spicy noodles which had both edamame and chicken, not bad, very standard but acceptable "peanut sauce" type dressing.
They still seem a little frazzled back there, as of yesterday. You would think a chain with so many outlets already in place would have their act together by now.
Slightly on the pricey side, but not totally unreasonable.
Not bad for a chain, but still so obviously a chain. The vibe kind of reminded me of Foumami, though Foumami was much worse.
Just had the Foumami brisket sandwich, asked for it spicy and added more hot sauce on my own - I thought it was actually pretty tasty. Nice amount of fresh cilantro - the meat had a lot of flavor, moist brisket. A bit messy with the crumbly fry bread and the meat, but not bad.
Definitely the thing to order there - had a noodle bowl / salad last week and it was fresh but underwhelming.

Has anyone been to Pluto's? (small chain of salad+sandwich bars in the Bay Area, CA)
Freshii sounds similar, and I'm wondering if it's just as good.
