Cuisinart replacement blade question

BluPlateSpec Aug 18, 2011 07:48 AM

I have the original Cuisinart DLC-8E (made in Japan) and have to get a replacement blade. The DLC-8 shredding medium blade's fixed stem is starting to crack. The disk is five and three quarters inches in diameter. Can I use one of the newer blades that has a removable stem? And where is a good place to get these parts?

Try ebay. I've been getting replacement parts there for my older Cuisinart. Blades seem to be a good price and you can ask all the questions you want about what will fit your machine before bidding or ordering.

When I needed to replace my original bowl, I went through Cuisinart. They have a warehouse in Georgia, where they keep the parts!

If that is a 7 qt. model, I may have an extra blade, which I will give you for the cost of shipping.
