New idea for group dinner of 10-12

I am looking for a place to have dinner for my birthday with about 10 girl friends. In the past few years we have done Cuchi Cuchi, Panza, Stella, and Dali. I would love to find something with a round table or a smaller alcove or room. Last year at Stella we were at a rectangular table and it was too loud to hear anyone! We are open to neighborhood and food types. Thanks!

When people ask for group dinner suggestions here, I often recommend the private room at Posto in Davis Square, possibly doing one of their pig roasts. But the one downside there is that Posto gets very loud and echoey, so a group dinner is fine as long as you don't plan on talking to anyone besides who you're sitting near to.

Thanks for this suggestion. I am a vegetarian so the pig roast idea doesn't particularly appeal to me but keep the ideas coming.

So far I have found some possible options in Tremont 647, Stephi's on Tremont, and Toscano Restaurant. Can anyone comment on any of these? I have only been to Stephi's and it was for lunch.

Are you talking about the Toscano Restaurant on Charles St? If so, the food there is pretty meh. Nice location though.

Posto has excellent vegetarian options (pastas, their signature stone-fired pizzas, etc).

Il Casale in Belmont Center is great if that's not too far out of the way.

Thanks for the ideas. I have also heard that Scampo has a round table as well as Red Lantern (which I know nothing about). Any other suggestions?
