McCrady's or 39 Rue De Jean?

Having a Girls 55th Birthday Weekend Sept 22-25. I am looking into a restaurant for Friday night.
Their will be 11 of us. We are staying at ther Mill House. Would like a recommendation for dinner.
Have somewhat decided on the two restaurants above. Any suggestions?~! Thanks!~

Wow. Two very different restaurants. McCrady's rather formal, serious, very creative food, James Beard winning chef, expensive. 39 Rue DeJean much more casual , fun place, but its not really about the food. I didn't care for it much, but I've only eaten there once, so if Sue likes it, I'm sure it's fine. French bistro-ish, but if I wanted French, I'd go to La Fourchette.

I've eaten at Rue several times and have always been satisfied with what I ordered. However, if you plan to walk there, McCrady's is closer, and the food is outstanding, but expensive. Have fun.

I like Rue de Jean, but if you want to hear each other talk, go to McCrady's.
