So tired of Italian, Chinese, or Fast Food looking for an alternative in Manalapan / Marlboro Area. Can anyone please recommend a restraunt doesnt matter if its take out or fine dining that serves good quality food that is not Italian or Chinese. Would love to hear about a good Seafood, Cajun, French, or Tapas Restraunt in the area or within a reasonable distance to grab a bite to eat on the way home or to be able to run out to when we dont feel like cooking. Hopefully there are some out there I havent been able to find any yet.

I like Little Saigon on Route 9..... it's not chinese, but....
I agree with the others - not much in marlboro/matawan area. We moved to the State 3 years ago, and are still trying to find a good place to go to regularly.... we typically drive down to Asbury Park, Red Bank, etc for something a bit different. But if you are interested and aware, the new diner just reopened after the fire last year (was it?) Yummy!

It sounds as though you are new to the Marlboro/Manalapan area. Fine dining? LOL! French, seafood, cajun or tapas? Dream on!

However, there is one ray of culinary sunshine: Shirin Cafe, in the Design Center, in Manalapan. It's run by a lovely Russian couple who serve delicious Uzbek cuisine.

Good food in Marlboro/Manalapan is somewhat of an oxymoron! Sorry.
