Eli's Deli in Washington D.C. on Shabbat
Eli's is a deli and grill in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, about a mile walk to Kesher Israel in Georgetown, and close enough to the major hotels and museums to be popular with business travelers and tourists.
On another thread, http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/801999 a mother of the bridegroom from Florida is thinking of holding a Shabbat dinner there for an aufruf for a wedding to be held in D.C. She is hoping to hear from someone who has been to Eli's for a Shabbat meal (they are not regularly open on Shabbat, but I have heard that they can be for a group)
Can anyone tell her what the food tasted like at Eli's on Shabbat?
p.s. to SoCal Mother: See, chowhounders can take instruction. ;-)
