Maybe it's too late to reply. I assume you mean "Hai Tien Lo" the Chinese restaurant at Pan Pacific, Rama IV. It has been renamed to Xin Tian Di as the hotel is now managed by Crowne Plaza chain. I was told from my friends who are regulars there that the chef team remains the same.
IMHO, comparing my last visit to Hai Tien Lo years ago vs Xin tian di a couple months back, food quality is still good now. I don't have any particular memory on service back then with HTL but I had quite a bad impression with the service in XTD recently. (Maybe because my friends and I went there during all-you-can-eat dimsum with 2 for 1 credit card promo time. The damage was about 400 baht/person. I'd say the quality is great for the price but I doubt if everything would worth 800 baht full fare.)
