Outer Banks Anyone?

Need recs for Outer Banks north of Oregon inlet after Labor Day. Seafood preferred but any cuisine ok. Want to stay away from the usual tourist haunts. There used to be a really good place on (I think) Collington island but I've no clue as to the name. Anyone?

    I'd like to mention Blue Moon Beach Grill in Nags Head and Food Dudes Kitchen in Kill Devil Hills. I wasn't impressed with Baseknights Lone Cedar - geared to masses IMHO. Loved Roadside Grill in Duck and Blue Point oyster stew made me swoon. Got several steamed shrimp & oyster baskets at Sugar Shack. Kill Devil Grill was super as well.
