  1. The menu is market-driven and changes all the time.
Last time I went 2 days after another hound, and the starters were completely different.
I had the osso bucco de lotte as main. If it is still on the menu, that's what I would have. And no matter how full you are, try to save some room for the magnum opus cheese platter.

Someone suggested dining on the terrasse. It is indeed a charming view on the church. But besides the congration of smokers, I noticed another potential problem. Early in the evening a group of very boisterious homeless persons queue up for what seems to be a soup kitchen run by the church. They seemed friendly but could be exceedingly noisy. Mainly because of the smokers, I would always sit inside, in the non-bar side of the room.

Once they got past their attitude, and found our "missing"reservation all went well. Dinner was lobster salad and monkfish cheeks with chocolate mousse for desert. The restaurant was empty, only three tables were occupied. We thought the meal was nothing special and will not return. We have eaten much better here in Paris in the past, and continue to do so now.

O too bad. Sounds very different from our experience. Hope you have a better time in the iffy month of August.
