Frozen fava beans

I've frozen some I bought at SM Farmer's market - out of the pod but still in the jackets - and they frozen very well. Anyone know where you can buy decent frozen favas? (I believe I tried some from Trader Joes - Melisse's or something like that - and they were awful. )

I've seen them in Armenian markets, Jon's Markets, even Gelson's.

Why not get fresh, unfrozen ones? I'm still seeing fresh ones available at Persian supermarkets.

Thanks. And Persian markets on the westside that would have them?

Head toward Santa Monica between the 405 and Bundy—there are several. I don't know about fresh but all of them will have frozen.

    2. Persian markets, like Elat Market (one block east of Robertson on Pico), have frozen ones (and they generally do have fresh ones as well).

      1. They are also available at Surfas frozen.

Great. Thanks. Went to Jordan's today on Westwood and they had three kinds to choose from.
