Hi Chowhounders!
We're bringing my daughter to Hamilton College and would love some recommendations. The college website suggested the indian Cafe on 8 College Street, Clinton, NY and The Phoenician, 623 French Road, New Harford, NY. Has anyone been to either restaurant? Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately the wait was too long. The restaurant looked lovely and we'll have to try again next time we're up in Clinton.

We ate at Tom Cavallo's Restaurant, 40 Genesee Street, New Hartford, NY. Terrific chicken wings. Cavallo's offers 11 different sauces and they will combine sauces. The waitress suggested we have medium hot wings with BBQ sauce. We loved them! Very reasonable priced.

Cavallo's was THE place to go for all you can eat spaghetti and meatballs (I think it was a Monday night special) for some absurdly low price when I was at Hamilton. I do remember the wings there being particularly good but I was never that impressed with their red sauce... but to be fair, my Mom makes a fantastic red sauce so I was picky.

I agree on the red sauce. It was okay. My daughter LOVES the wings. Cavallo's will be a traditional stop.
