Osteria or Porcini?

Coming into town for one night only. Heard great things about both, where am I going to be overall most satisfied?

  1. I've never been to Osteria, but I've never had a bad meal at Porcini. It's a couple of years since I've been, though.

    1. Osteria. There's no comparison. Porcini is a perfectly fine neighborhood joint but nowhere near the same level as Osteria.

        1. Hands down Osteria. Porcini is ok for a local BYOB but nothing all that special. A very dated (like really, something out of the 1980s in a bad, bad way unless it's been majorly updated since my visit) and cramped dining room with indifferent service made one visit there my last with so many better and more interesting options in the area. If you want to go BYOB Italian go to Melograno instead, on the same block as Porcini. Worlds better and more interesting.
