Dim Sum: made to order?

While at a recent trip in New York, I had the chance to eat at the (wonderful) Dim Sum Go Go. They don't do carts, they make dim sum to order.

Does anyone in Seattle and environs do this? It was an eminently sane practice, and the food was great, being fresh and all.

Several places do. In my area, Zen Garden does. Food comes out fantasticaly hot, fresh and steamy.

Another thread mentions Macky's. But this might not be all the time.
