SF Hounds coming to NYC. Buttermilk Channel looks good and did include some SF Chefs. Has anyone been lately and how was it?

We are heading more into Brooklyn this trip and will re-visit Al di La and probably Franny's. Any other suggestions in Williamsburg would be appreciated.

I have the Brooklyn Cookbook and The Dressler and Du Mont look interesting.

  1. Yes, BC is still good. It's still popular too. My friends who live across the street say that if you get there around 7 on a weeknight it's not hard to get a table (even outside) though. The duck meat loaf is yummy.

You should probably post your W'burg question separately.

Not in Brooklyn, but if you can slide into M. Wells before it closes at the end of the month, you will not regret it (assuming you do heavy food--which BC is).

wanted to chime in about how AWESOME Buttermilk Channel is! Did you already go? The fried chicken with cheddar waffle is great. Same goes for their burger and their fish dishes. If I'm not too late on this, I'd also recommend the pecan pie sundae - it is a stellar dessert!
