Ottawa Restaurants-Labour Day weekend

Suggestions for all kinds of restaurants please--breakfast lunch and dinner--ethnic, urban, cheap to moderately expensive -2 adults and a 18 yr old, staying 4 days staying at downtown hotel with car

    Unfortunately, Sweetgrass is closed - according to a blog by a local food writer, the future is uncertain as the owners are looking for investors.

    That area of Ottawa is the ByWard Market - lots of good restos there: Domus, Play, Navarra, Chez Lucien, French Baker (breakfast), Benny's Bistro.

    West of the downtown core, I really like Wellington Gastropub.

      Elk dumplings and bone marrow at sweetgrass aboriginal bistro in the byward market.

          it was very good, especially the dumplings....i also enjoyed domus which is across the street from sweetgrass....
