Maybe Dot's Diner? Don't know about roller skates, but it is in a little strip mall on 28th. Since you said "off 28th" maybe you're thinking of the Village Coffee Shop on Folsom?

Also just off 28th is the Buff, which has really good breakfasts, but isn't in a strip mall.

The waitrons at the long-gone L.A. Diner used to cruise around on roller skates. It wasn't in a strip mall either but rather was a free-standing diner. Too bad it was demolished because that retro-'40s look is so "in" these days. It was on the east side on 28th St around Walnut.

Does the Golden Buff still do killer breakfasts? Just a nit Claire, but I think the LA Diner was on the west side of 28th.

It's not my *favorite* breakfast place, but yeah, they still do very good breakfasts, with (I think) $1 bloodys.

          Favorite: Lucile's
          2nd: Walnut Cafe
          3rd: Buff

Have not been to Tangerine, but I have a feeling they may provide some competition for my list. Note that this is a Boulder list, if I were adding other Colorado locations in, the Butterhorn in Frisco and the Meeting Place in Durango (now called the College Drive Cafe, but same food) would push all but Lucile's off the list.

And if we were post commentes XXXX months from now, the new Snooze would probably appear on the Boulder list too.

Ha, that's true. I ate at the one near Coors Field once and it was great! Looking forward to its Boulder appearance.

Your right, LurkerDan. I visualized west and wrote "east." If you hadn't caught this, I probably would have seen it eventually and changed it.

        Very much appreciated!

It was dots, but we tried the Buff today and it was great

Glad to hear that the Buff is back on its game. I used to like it a lot, then it seemed like it went through a rough patch. But now I'm hearing folks I trust say that it's worthwhile again. Another breakfast place is always welcomed!

You should definitely re-try it, home fries were top notch

How is the Sunday breakfast at the Hotel Boulderado these days? I miss their jalapeno corn bread, and hope to get back fairly soon.

Anyone know when Snooze is opening their Boulder location? Their website seems to be down; had a brief fantasy that it might be open already and I could drop by for a pineapple upside-down pancake, but that's probably not the case.
