She's been to Enoteca Sociale many times. There's 3-4 woman attending. Thanks

Is this your friend asking the same thing? http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/801890

If not, then some additional detail would be helpful. Price point? Type of food? Type of atmosphere? Location?

We're open to location and price point as well. One friend does not eat meat but enjoys food in general. B-day girl likes to be where the action is.....but we're talking middle age married women here!

No this is not my friend asking the same question. I just noticed this post and thought I might as well discount Enoteca Sociale as it seems like the "go-to" suggestion lately.

Gotcha. It's still a pretty broad question, though. Could you list other places that your friend has been and loved, so we know what to avoid, but what to measure against?

          In the meantime, some suggestions:

          - Malena
          - Caren's Wine Bar
          - Mistura
          - Messis
          - 93 Harbord
          - Starfish
          - Origin

Thanks we've been to Starfish and really enjoyed it. I think you've given us some really good suggestions here! I took her to Grano's in the Spring for a big celebration they were having and she loved it--so maybe we should try Massimo's place--Mistura.

IMHO you can never go wrong with Susur Lee. Lee's is located on King Street. Here's the website for you to browse......

I was at Lee a month ago and really enjoyed the food there - especially the singaporean-style slaw!

I haven't been to Susur's place since it first opened years ago. Good to hear it's still popular.
