Chicken and Dumplings-leftover dumplings ?

When making Chicken and dumplings if you plop too many in there and no one can eat anymore is it ok to save them maybe in a sealed container or are they best tossed in the trash and made fresh with leftover stew?

Just thinking saving money would be nice-not at the point I would sacrifice money for flavor but you never know-I could be there soon -where I am things are sadly super bad

anyway thanks if you can help-making a few fresh dumpling isn't going to break the bank - actually either way it's affordable

I too would save them and perhaps slice them (if they're large enough) and /or just saute them in some butter as a side for almost anything.

Never had such a problem. ;)

But I'd put the dumplings in zip-lock bags or a tupperware, perhaps separate from most of the fluid of the stew. They can warm up nicely simmered over leftover stew or even gently microwaved.
