Does anyone know of a place where I can buy goat meat on the east side?

International Food Bazaar is a small Middle Eastern market across 156th Ave from Crossroads Mall which sells goat and other Halal meats. There's also a Persian market in the Lake Hills Shopping Center further south on 156th that would likely have some. These places are probably a bit closer than the recs in Kent and Seattle, although any trip to Bob's Quality Meats is time well spent.

Can buy it in Oriental groceries as well as Halal ones. It's in King Mkt in Kent, and Viet Wah in Seattle and Renton.
Prices are better at the Halal places, since they're using goats from Australia and NZ.

You can buy goat meat at Bob's Quality Meats in Columbia City (sorry, don't know East Side)

JDs produce (200 and 44) in Lynnwood carries goat, both the frozen cubes and some fresh. The fresh selection varies, but has included chops and liver (excessively strong for my taste). This an Indian grocery with a multi-ethnic selection of groceries and produce.

Most of the non-Farmers Market goat we've seen for sale is at Halal grocery stores - frozen chunks looking like they took a bandsaw to the whole frozen animal. I was surprised to find almost identifiable cuts of fresh (maybe previously frozen?) goat at Red Apple Grocery on 23rd and Jackson. It was not terribly expensive and quite tasty. Not on the Eastside though. You could ask at the Kirkland one to see if they carry it?

There is a halal butcher shop in the complex adjacent to Apna Bazaar in Bellevue. I am almost positive they have goat.

Try Butcher Shop Cafe in Kenmore. They were advertising on Facebook whole goat earlier this year if I remember

Apna Bazaar! That's what I was trying to remember and couldn't quite come up with. Next to the (shudder) Chuck E. Cheese near the Fred Meyer, across from Sears, right?

I'm with you on the pizza, but the whack-a-mole and skeeball are SPOT ON. Also, I liked that vegetarian Indian buffet the one time I tried it when it opened, but I can never get my co-workers to go back because "No meat, what the hell are you trying to do to us?"

I've purchased goat meat at The Swinery in West Seattle. Call beforehand as they don't always have it. I'm sure they can get it if you ask nicely :).

It's not the eastside, but they sell goat meat at the Tukwila Trading Center on Tukwila International Blvd.

I bet the Tunisian owner of the Butcher Shop Cafe in Kenmore also carries (or can obtain) goat.
