Yes, they now have three locations and the old one on Ventura Blvd is gone:

If it's related to the kosher place, then there's a similar one, by the same name, on Beverly near La Brea.
Near-zero ambiance, except for true dive afficiandos like YT, and pretty basic preparation, but pretty fresh fish, reasonable portions, and very economical prices. Not a bad deal over-all, especially for those whose diets demand a plain piece of grilled fish, but whose budgets ain't getting them Water Grill or Providence.
I've got some difficulty imagining it working in Brentwood, unless they de-funkify the format a little.›9 Replies-

Well, with all due respect to the OP, there is no stretch of Wilshire Boulevard that runs through Brentwood.
I mean, I could see someone living north of Wilshire and saying they live in Brentwood, but the commecial/restaurant Brentwood is to the north.
There's some chow on Wilshire, too. Those Literatis are there and there is a divey pizza place called DiVitas and as far as fast food goes, you could do worse than Wahoos for fish tacos (might not qualify as delicious chow, but honestly, one of those fish plates with the teriyaki veggies and a beer of the day makes a pretty good and fast meal).
I also noticed the Todai went out and something sort of interesting moved in, though I can'r recall what.
I don't know the location of this place, but if it's close to Brentwood, it's really on Wilshire between Barrington and Federal. And while that's a nice neighborhood, it's got plenty of fast food and funkyish places.-

As they say in New Orleans, "Yeah-you-right!" The discrepancy in the location description didn't even register. Any strech that's gotten rid of a Todai can't be all bad...
Fish Grill's website, or page,(below) says nothing about a new location, but doesn't look like it's been updated recently, either. Does give you the menu, and a sense of the place, though.

re: PaulF
I work on top of the World Savings Building at the corner of Wilshire and Federal. Actually, it's a wasteland for lunch.
But there is (or was) a sandwich/deli place that closed about 4 or 6 months ago that was "remodeling" and still is trashed inside. It is on Wilshire between Barrington and Federal. Perhaps this is the place. -

The Brentwood location is actually pretty spectacular. You really feel you are walking into real fisherman's hangout from the olden days. The wall are covered with great antic props, hand painted murals and vintage picture. I recommend it or the other new location in the Pico area.

It's probably related to the Fish Grill in Sherman Oaks, on Ventura east of Woodman which does a fairly nice job with grilled fish. Casual, served on paper plates.
It's a glatt kosher place (I believe) and therefore is closed on Saturday.
I think they already have a second location. Anyone know?
