Late dinner in South End?
Hi! I have a friend coming to visit from Toronto and we want one of our dinner's to be in the South End - problem is her flight gets in at 9pm. I'm pretty new to Boston myself but have managed to check out Hammersly's which was great, although a bit expensive (sauces to die for), Coppa (super yum), Estragon (casual and tasty), Sibling Rivalry (meh), and Giaccomo's (fun, cheap and tasty).
We are both adventurous eaters and love our wine. I would like to keep it in the mid to low price range as we're going to Neptune Oyster House on Saturday and will likely spend much more there. I'm more interested in good value, fun atmosphere and interesting food than any particular cuisine.
Any recommendations for a 10pm dinner, or should we head back to Coppa and hope the line isn't too long?

You can make reservations at many of the late-night places in the South End, including Coppa, but the Franklin isn't one of them (and their kitchen closes at 1:45a, not 1a).
Some South End places (of varying cost) that take reservations and serve past 10pm: 28 Degrees, B&G, The Beehive, Darryl's, Estragon, Gaslight, JJ Foley's, Masa, Metropolis, Myers + Chang, Noche, Oishii, Petit Robert, Pops, South End Buttery, Stella, Stephi's, and Union.
Serving past 10pm on Friday, but not taking reservations: Anchovies, The Butcher Shop (unless your party is six or larger), El Centro, The Gallows, Orinoco, Picco, Toro.
