dinner for picky eater and not so picky companions

i could use some help. some family is going to nyc for the open, and could use some suggestions for dinners.
price wise, nothing high end or fancy. a casual atmosphere is more important than the price; that is, they don't mind paying, but they' don't want to put on a jacket.
as far as location, it's not too important. manhattan preferred.
food wise, one picky eater pretty much eats nothing but plain steak, plain chicken and plain white fish. no fancy sauces. however, the others in his party are much more adventurous.
they've hit most if not all the steak houses over the years. does anyone have any suggestions for interesting restaurants that also serve (with a cheerful, accommodating attitude) steak, plain chicken or fish?

many thanks.

I highly recommend Oceana, our favorite fish/seafood restaurant. The more adventurous in your family will have lots to choose from, while for the picky eater, the menu includes a whole category of fish and shellfish cooked simply, i.e., grilled, roasted, broiled or seamed, without any sauce. You couldn't ask for better service (friendly and attentive), and the ambiance is very pleasant.
