Canning preserving gift book suggestions?
I'd like to give a friend a gift of a book on canning/pickling/preserving with lots of hip new recipes, colour pictures and a guide to basics. I've just used my good old bermadin guide and internet recipes ...any gift book suggestions?
I bought "Tart & Sweet" this year (it's new) and it is very good. It has a lot of interesting flavor combinations and some lovely photos. Though it's not an expensive book, I think it would make a lovely gift.
ETA: Full title is "Tart & Sweet: 101 Canning and Pickling Recipes for the Modern Kitchen" by Kelly Geary & Jessie Knadler (Rodale 2011).
