craving a ginger cocktail

Has anyone had a really great ginger cocktail recently? I'm looking for places around LA that make really delicious drinks with some element of ginger -- a ginger puree that gives it a sort of spicy zing, really good ginger brew, etc.

I had an amazing Moscow Mule at Bouchon a few weeks ago. One of the best cocktails I've ever had in my life. I hate vodka, but I still went back a week later just for that cocktail.

Second the Varnish, also 1886 in Pasadena (inside the Raymond). You can just let the bartenders know that you want a gingery drink and they'll take care of you!

2nd 1886 - I think there's one on their specialty cocktail menu, and it's good.

I had a great ginger cocktail at The Hungry Cat in Santa Monica Canyon. I know it was made with vodka. It was pretty damn fabulous.
